Abstract
Introduction. In 2020, 1.93 million new cases of colorectal cancer (CRC) were registered worldwide. There is a global trend towards increasing incidence rates of colorectal cancer in most countries. This trend is due to the impact of exogenous and endogenous carcinogens on the human body, as well as screening measures mandated by legislation in many countries.
