Abstract
Introduction: Increasing exposure to stressful physical or emotional events leads to the development of this intriguing disease known as Takotsubo, as it shaped like an ‘octopus trap’ - a traditional trap for catching octopus in Japan. Amid the scary statistics of loss of economy and human life due to increasing disasters, increasing cases of TTS have been reported from all over the world that warranted us to make this review. Formerly the TTC was known limited only to Japanese population but now cases have been reported from all over the world.
